I create a salesorder with drop shipment and a purchaseorder based on the salesorder. Now I would like to post the purchase order before the salesorder, but navision will not allow this. It is okay that I cannot receive the purchase order before the sales order is shipped, but I would like to invoice the purchase order before the salesorder. Has anyone experience with this? What happens if I simply remove navisions check.
You can ship but not invoice the sales order, this will receive the purchase order and allow you to record a purchase invoice. And modifing Navision is needed. David
Thanks for the answer. I am aware that shipping the sales order will receive the purchase order. This is fine, but I would like to be abel to invoice the purchase order as well, when the sales order is shipped. So my question is. Can I just remove navision check for that the sales order is invoiced? Will this have any effect on other things like adjustment of costprices or the ability to create a combine shipment?
I did this change in the dim distant past so don’t remember all the details, but you cannot just remove the limitation on the sequence of posting. The other side of the equation looks for data that has then been unexpectedly removed. The change can be done, but it is moderately complicated and requires changes in multiple places.
