Last night, on Halloween, our server was hit by a virus/ransomware attack. Everything got encrypted and as we do not pay ransom, then the best option was to restore our backup made Wednesday morning.
This mean that all posts/replies and comments, any updates to or new membership accounts etc. is not registered if made yesterday.
We are of course very sorry about this. It’s the first time, since we upgraded to Telligent Community Server in 2006, that we have lost any data. So it’s not that it happens a lot, but still it’s never nice.
Right now the server is running again (as you can see). But I’m running a number of full system tests, to make sure that it really is gone, so the server may be a bit slower the next day or so.
