Is there any other way to enter the raw materials and consumables in navision other than BOM.
My requirement is my client is feeling this process of creating BOM and adding it to the item card which is being produced as long process so is there any other way so that i can use and i should get reports abt the materials etc asusual
You can just use Item Journals with a positive adjustment for the finished goods and negative adjustments for the raw materials. Actual costing is an issue but can be handled manually or with standard costing.
I would suggest that if you trained them correctly and demonstrated the functionality then this is infinitely quicker than any other process - how do they expect the system to know what to consume without setting it up? Basically the way you are telling them is the automatic quick method, any other is manual and slow - what do they currently do?
