Different Header on Second Page

Hi everyone,

I have to design some document reports for NAV 2013 using RDLC. One of the requests is to print a different header after the first page (like we often did in good old CC-Times ;-)). My question now is: is this even possible? And if yes: how can I do that?

Best regards,

Jan

You can look at this blog

Hi Jan,

Welcome to the Dynamics User Group.

No I’m sorry to say this, but it is not possible. This is really one of the most annoying things with the RDCL report designer. RDLC really not made for ERP document design. I think that’s why it’s on Microsoft roadmap to do something serious about it. But it’s not there now, and not in NAV 2013 R2.

Mohana,

If you read the blog post, then you will see that Claus writes that it is NOT POSSIBLE today and that he suggest that everyone who wants this functionality goes into Microsoft Connect and votes for this request here: https://connect.microsoft.com/dynamicssuggestions/feedback/details/723730

Yes Erik.

I want Jan (everyone) to read this blog and Vote for it.

Ok, thanks so far. A coworker just told me that there should be a way to accomplish this printing the header of the report only once and on the following pages printing the header of the detail section. I’m not sure right now if this is what Claus tried to do as well, I haven’t been able to find the report he mentions in his blog post. I will have to try it but I’ll definitively vote for this feature. Thanks again!

I think the report he mentions in his blog post is the one build using Visual Studio 2012 (DynamicHeaderOfflineReport(VS2012)).
