Difference between the copy from All , copy from Journal

HI,### I gone through the manual, I could not understand .### Difference between the copy from All , copy from Journal in Purchase order and sales order.### Please throw some good explanation on this to know about this.### ### Thanks and regards

I don’t think so. The journals here are the posted confirmations/packing slips/invoices related to that purchase order.

Copy from All, lets you copy every thing the journals(confirmations/packing slips/invoices) and orders and lines from one to another purchase order

Copy from Journal, will only let you copy the details(from confirmations/packing slips/invoices) realted to the same purchase order

Now I disagree with my original for AX2012 and your response Kranthi [:D], but sure it was true for AX2009. The journals however are not the posted confirmation. Create a purchase order for a vendor and print the confirmation, then create another purchase order from the same vendor, it is listed in the copy from all, but not copy from journal. I answered it differently a while ago:

In AX you have the ability to use the function to create a credit note against the original invoice - this is not a process I agree with and would prefer a new document applied to the invoice. However if you do this the constituent make up of the lines are altered, then when you go to the copy from journal these lines are visible. So invoice an order, then use functions and create credit note and then look in the copy from journals and you will see it.

With the copy from all you see everything, so that is the difference.

I think copy from journal works from order to order scenario(we cannot see journals related to other orders)

That is it [:D] Copy Journal copies from any journal produced within the ORDER, so order 0114 can copy from the journals produced for 0114!
