what is the basic difference between Index and Full Text Index in AX 2012

Hi Darshana,

This MSDN article here briefly mentions difference between index and full text index - http://msdn.microsoft.com/EN-US/library/gg839860

Essentially indexes will allow us to search with conditions such as Items beginning with A* (like match) or where customer group is ‘EOC’ (exact match).

Where as with full text indexes, it should be possible to search with much specific words. For example -

  1. Item name containing ‘Alloy Drawn Belt Corner’ OR
  2. Item description containing ‘Floor plate 200mm’
