depreciation book

Hi All:

Is it important to use the depreciation books in fixed asset module ?? I read in the manual that is doesn’t have any financial effect on the assets , and what is the difference between the book and the value model??

As far as I know, Depreciation books give you information about asset. On the other hand, the value model contains the asset financial information, how it is going to be depreciated, the net book value, the depreciation method, etc. when the depreciation process for the asset is executed, the depreciate transaction will be generated thanks to the information contained in the value model. From this point, it’s true that the depreciation book doesn’t have any financial effect on the assets, meanwhile the value model does.
