Delivery vs. Bill to address

Hello,

I am trying to identify delivery vs. bill to address, zip, state etc. and correct me if i am wrong delivery address is located on the sales header, and bill to address is automatically transferred to sales order lines unless bill to address is different. If different, the bill to address will be changed under sales order line?

You can setup multiple addresses for Customer - you can setup for both delivery and invoice address for the customer. Only the delivery address will be copied to the sales order - but you can always view the number of addresses attatched to the customer - from Setup - alternative address.

If you have the invoice and delivery address as different - configure them in your customer master - so when you look into the invoice print you can find the invoice address printed instead of Delivery address.

I was finding a solution related customer Address, since I found your reply on the query “Delivery Vs Bill to Address”, Can you please help me out. The scenario is a Customer Xyz has multiple addresses like 3 delivery addresses and 4 Invoice addresses, I can able to manage them adding all 7 address in the “Customer details” form. Even I can able to mange delivery address while creating a sales order and changing delivery address (Sales Order àSetup àAlt. address) selecting different delivery address. In case of Invoice address, I couldn’t able to find selecting different Invoice address.

Can you please reply me if you know any way to selecting or alternative solution.

There is no way of setting a different invoice address, in these instances they would be perceived as different customers, or you need to invoice based upon a defined ruleset you have for identifying which address should be used, but this is a modification.

is there perhaps a checkbox hidden somewhere that you can have the delivery address print as the invoice address unless you override it? i have one customer account, multiple delivery addresses, multiple invoice addresses. i am trying to get around manually typing the proper invoice address on every order/invoice. any suggestions?
