Hi ,
What is the difference between Void Vs delete sales orders in AX ?
No difference as such, you can only decide whether the deleted orders can be marked as voided.
Thanks kranthi ,
what is the meaning of void in the AX point of view .
one more question is when i am deleting the sales or purchase order , it is not asking any reason code ? Is it standard AX behaviour or do i need to do any setup ?
Please clarify .
Use this if you want to track the deleted order details, it is like history.
You can only delete the sales order for which no inventory posting are happened(not fully invoiced), in such cases it will stop you deleting the sales order. If it is invoiced you can apply the safety level (In AR parameter → upudates → Safety level of invoiced orders). Other than that AX will not ask you any reason codes while deleting an order.
You also have the parameters which will automatically deletes the sales orders when they are fully invoiced. Delete Order after invoicing
Hi Kranthi,
For the delated sales order how to return back the item like in return type.
thanks in advance,
sudha
AR - Periodic - History , we have voided sales orders and deleted sales orders .
What is the difference between these two ?
deleted sales order show the information that are deleted through the periodic job Clean up → Delete Orders, it will show only a few information about the sales orders, Use voided orders to have the full information of the sales order
