We are trying to implement Nav in European Languages and also Japanese. We have set up a Terminal Server with the default codepage being Japanese and connected this to the native Nav database, this all works fine, the Japanese characters display correctly. We have then set up a SQL Database, obtained the correct fin.stx file to enabled DBCS and set the collation of the database to codepage 52, again all of this works as we expect.
Is there any reason why running this configuration would not be supported by Microsoft? As far as I understand it it’s just the client stx for the Japanese language has been changed. We are only using the demo license to test this, but would we need to obtains a license to support DBCS from an Asian Dynamics Business partner?
