Hi!

Thanks for the reply.

I want to install EAM in Dynamics AX 2009.

Hi

It should come with an *.aod file and a label file. If it is a new environment, then copy the layer as per normal. Then do a full compile. Otherwise a merge may be required if it is an existing environment.

Once the environment is up.

There is a dat/def to import. This should the major setups. You still have to do the parameters.

Sorry this is not very detailed best I can do with out writing a manual.

Lastly, I would highly recommend you contact your partner. When I was asking the version. I wanted to make sure you had the latest. You should ask your partner for the latest version.

Good luck.

Hi!

The software that I have is EAM_5.1.7.8.1.

At a glance it does look like one of the later builds.

Hi munib,

Do you know what is meant by this error message?

"No first status exists for Information Base. Please set this up."

Please help. Thanks!

AML

You need a lot of base data set up. Usually this is part of the installation package. You import the dat/def and it sets the EAM parameters, statuses, events etc.

You really won’t get a lot of help here on the forums. This is what EAM consultants do and specialise in.

Hi munib,

I already imported the base data and its working now. The next step stated in the installation manual is to run this command but I got error when running this command. Do you know how to solve this? please?

Here’s the command:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\caspol -pp off -machine -addgroup 1. -url “\WIN-9MAGF5EUAOV\program files\AxEAM\IsoftProc*” Everything -name AxMRO -description “Custom group for allowing network execution of iSoftProc.exe which is a component of AxMRO”

Here’s the error message:

Your response is fully appreciated.

Thanks!

Top of my head.

You need to run cmd as administrator (Right click and Run as administrator). Otherwise, you are not an administrator on the machine.

Hi Munib,

The command runs successfully.
