Data Warehouse

Does anyone have experience with SSAS and NAV. Specifically how to set up the cubes so reports can be generated from all NAV companies for better BI? I was looking into Jet Enterprise that ships with 6 cubes. any information would be greatly appreciated

Hi Sean,

I can give you a few hints. You can easily solve multi company problems by using proper BI solution - Data warehouse

Why DWH:

Because you can map up different chart of accounts

· Bring in other sources,

· You can do a proper consolidation over multi companies

· Have proper trend analysis over items, companies…

· …

Taking in consideration you are using dwh:

· It helps a lot if you have common item, customer… codes over all or your companies. This will enable you proper item, customer… analysis over multiple companies.

I can show you how we solved it with BI4Dynamics. You can even install FREE Pilot project on you database and check how it works. We will help you with installation and give you predefined dashboards for all application areas (10 reports + dashboard per cubes) and set up 1 hour workshop to explain the functionality.

BI4Dynamics offers huge businss value out of the box and consists of:

· ETL

· Olap cubes: Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Receivables, Payables, General ledger, account schedules, sales and purchase orders analysis (open document analysis - not possible in NAV), manufacturing, service managements, jobs & resources
