Is there a standard solution in NAV to organize my companies’ credit management ?
If not. I’m looking for functionallity that my Credit Controler employee can send reminders; make notes of phone calls; see outstanding invoices. The clients accountmanager must have access to see what the outstanding amount of his client is; see payment statuses and make notes about his contact with the client. The controler (me) needs an overview of clients payment status; overall payment times and activity of credit controler.
What are common applications, or add ons to use? What are their specific pro’s and con’s? I already read something about SD, Credit Hound and GetPaid. The all say the’re the best and I’m looking for user experience.
tnx. These functionalities are known to me and it is part of the solution. Especially the logging of calls made to debtors and the follow up are important.
Usually a Contact is created for each Cust/Vend/Bank. How you implement it - first Contact, and then Create C/V/B from it, or vice versa - Create Contact from C/V/B, its up to you.
For a Contact you can create an Interaction, one of which could be PhoneCall. (as well as issued document, BTW, too) It’s too long to describe here - examine CRONUS Demo company, there you’ll get an idea what is possible, and there are really many features.
BTW - why your Partner company hasn’t told all this to you and you now must seek for info on the web? I’m glad to help you, but actually it could be far more easier to ask these questions to your Partner, it’s their direct doty to provide this info to you…
tnx for your help sofar. Another business unit is working with NAV for logistical purposes and therefore I’m trying to figure out the financial part. We have no partner for support. I’ve worked with a number of financial packages in the past and could usually work it out myself and find the rest on the web, but with NAV it seem the user group seems to be more closed and it’s design is not intuitive. Can I keep posting question like this here?
I’ve mailed you guys for a demo and got a reply from Mr Zacharcuk with some questions. I answered his mail last week but no reply. Do you know these guys?

This was me who sent you some questions on your Dynamics NAV version. As you are on the older Dynamics NAV version, we need to issue the SD Credit Controller evaluation version for your NAV 4.0 SP2 version to make sure that you will not get any issues when evaluating/testing this product. As I mentioned in my email, you will be abte to test SD Credit Controller on Monday.
