Counting Journal not displaying Batch Numbers

Hi there,

I have items with batch numbers and am trying to create a counting journal for these items. I have included the batch number field in the ‘Journal lines, stock’ form, but am having trouble displaying these.

When I bring back the on-hand stock, the batch number is not displaying if the total quantity a particular item is greater than 1. So if Item A has 10 batches, no batch number is displayed. If Item B has 1 batch, the batch number is displayed.

I would have expected a separate line for each batch number of a particular item, along with the quantity of that batch. For example:

Item A - Batch 1 - Qty 1
Item A - Batch 2 - Qty 1
Item A - Batch 3 - Qty 1

Instead of:

Item A - (blank batch) - Qty 3

Is there a way to achieve this, and if so how?

I don’t see any issue. If you choose batch number on create onhand (dialog) then the records will be created per batch number

Yes by selecting batch number, it should show the onhand per batch number.

I selected batch number as above, but it is still not showing on-hand per batch number. Is there something else that could be missing?

When you create a new counting journal you are asked which dimensions to include. It is prior to the screen shot. You have not selected batch number on that selection.

I tried again this morning and it worked. Batch number on that prior screen was showing as selected, so I’m not sure exactly what was wrong, but it’s working now :slight_smile: Thanks for your help
