Hi, Could I know for cost center reporting should I use dimensions or responsibility center? and if its dimension, what would be the real value / purpose for using responsibility center? Tq.
Kevin, you should definitly use Dimensions, or even “must” use Dimensions. The Responsibility Center values are not taken to any ledger entry therefore they cannot be used for this purpose. Responsibility center helps you to split up your data entry per location or branch office, mainly documents (invoices, quotes, etc), and users may only view/modify documents of their own Responsibility Center - to avoid errors and modifying others documents. Additionally, these Responsibility Centers are also used as company address on sales/purchase documents. Saludos Nils
