Is there any way to convert an HTML file into a MHT file the nice thing with MHT is that if you send a report via HTML which contains pictures, evrything is packed into one single file, so it’s a very convenient file format. Basically I am looking for any tool such as OCX, Automation controller, .EXE Which can convert an HTML file into a MHT file
Hi Tarek I’m not sure but isn’t .mht a compiled helpfile like .chm? If it is you will need a help compiler to create such files. Perhaps a pdf - file does the job? bye André
Ok, it is not a help file: Web Archive file format (*.mht)
It’s indeed a web archive format which I do find extremly convenient.

Hi Tarek You can use the IE with SaveAs to create such a mht- file. IMHO this should work with an IE automation control but I didn’t find the ‘right’ method or property yet [xx(]. bye André
Tarek… i think i know what you’re trying… solving the problem usually customers complain when having to send reports by e-mail: the images are showing as a separate file on the attachments section and are not shown in the e-mail… I haven’t tried… but may be you can try using the currReport.saveashtml function to create the images and .html file and then using the IE automation to open the saved .html file and generating the new .mhtml file… Regards,
That’s what I need to do but automatically that’s just with CAL code + a conversion component (OCX, Automation,.EXE) from Navision [;)]
