Convert Item type BOM to Item

Hi,

We are trying to convert item type BOM to Item, but we are not able to convert since the Production order (ended) in the system. I have some question

  1. Can we convert BOM to Item ? what are the conditions.

  2. Production ended items Can be converted.( we received a error message:there are production orders which present in the system)

  3. If we do what are the consequences.

You can convert. But it should not any have any production orders created.

No you cannot change the Item Type when there exists a production order at any status.

If it is not a BOM you should not have done any prodcution for it.

So you need to create a new Item for that and lock the existing BOM item - which can avoid transactions in future.
