when am working with Ax 2009 application,it closed due to the power failure .After i opened the Application it showing a message
--------------------------- Logon error --------------------------- Connection with the Application Object Server could not be established. --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
So i checked in servives also.when am trying to start the services of Ax 2009 ,it also showing some error
--------------------------- Services --------------------------- Windows could not start the Dynamics AX Object Server 5.0$01-DynamicsAx1 service on Local Computer.
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start. --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
For Dynamics service the dependencies are - Remote Procedure Call and SQL server services are already added. The main problem is in LogOn Tab 2 options are there in that
1.Local System Account
2.This Account
So i changed the option–> this account to Local system Account then only the services started.
I’ve encountered the same errors on my AX 2009 VPC Refresh 3.5
When trying to start the AX Object Server from the Services it says " The dependency service or group failed to start ".
I went through what you said about the Logon tab and changing the option from " This Account " to " Local System Account ", but was not really able to grasp it.
" The dependency service or group failed to start ". ---- This error says that there are some dependent services are there before u start the Ax Services
To resolve this - See the dependency Tab and try to start all the dependencies and then try to Start the Ax services…I Hope this will definitely work.
I did find the Depedencies [:$] (I do aplogise for asking the question, but at the time I honestly did not know where to look) and was able to start both of them, after which the AX Object Server did start eventually, but when I tried to start the AX client it was still displaying a Logon error " Connection with the Application Object Server could not be established " .
After trying to start the client a few times and failing, I deleted the Virtual Machine, re-extracted it and installed it all over agin. While doing so at the login page it had promted me to change the password for Administrator as the default one has expired. My doubt is does this have something to do with the error message I have been getting.
Also, can you please tell me if I have to make any changes on the Logon tab of the AX Object Server and its Dependencies. If yes, what should they be set to.
Connection with the Application Object Server could not be established - Thiserror indicates that the respective service is either not started or there is a problem with ur Lan/network to access tha application.
If any service throws an error “Service cannot be started on local computer” then try to log off ur current account and logon with ur domain administrator account.
then try to start the service then it will definitely start the service.
Another way of doing this is - press Windows+R(Run)------>Press Services.msc----->Locate ur AX Service---->Right click on the service and click on Log on tab.---->Then change the logon type to Local System and then try to start the service and it definitely start the service.
Coming to Ur doubt ------"Logon tab of the AX Object Server and its Dependencies"—Change the Logon type to ur local system and then start the service.
I can’t thank you enough for your time and effort.
I’m logged-on as the Administrator and when I tried to start the AX Object Server it threw an error saying the dependencies were unable to start.
I then changed the LogOn type to Local System on AX Object Server and MSSQLSERVER, which started them all but I’m stil not able to access the AX application.
Although the AX Object Server and its dependencied have started, the message " Connection to Application Object Server could not be established " is being displayed when I access the AX application.
The issue was that the AX Server Configuration Utility and the AX Configuration Utility had different values for the TCP/IP Port. Once I changed both of them to the same value everything started to work fine.
My apologies for posting late and I thank everyone for their time and effort.
I Changed my country 2 days back and I think thats why i have the error 1068. Can you tell me how to change the TCP/IP Port from both those configuration. I went in the utility and I have noticed I am not able to edit it ?
If it’s really the same problem (“Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start”), then simply apply the verified solution (in replies with green boxes). It clearly doesn’t say anything about TCP/IP ports.
If it’s a different problem, create a new thread and explain there what you did and what’s wrong. There we can start the discussion and answer questions about your problem.
I don’t know. It usually does automatically doesn’t it. I m a new learner. One guy installed Dynamics AX 2012 on my computer to train. I usually just click on dynamics to work on the demo version. This error did not occur to me before so I really dont know. attached is the dependency.
