Hello all, We are in the first week of the AX 2012 implementation and we need help. I would like for the buyers to get clarity on their required actions, either advance an order or release a prompted order. We are receiving what appear to be conflicting messages:

We will get a planned purchase order prompted to our buyers for delivery on XX date

We will get a advance and increase action message for the same part ID to deliver on the same date as the prompt

We will get a cancellation action message for the planned purchase order (referenced above).
All of these are given at the same time. The settings we are using within our coverage group are as follows:
For the most part we are a make to stock environment
Coverage Code: Requirement, although I believe we should adjust to period.
General-
Negative days: 3
Positive days: 9999
Coverage time fence: 365
Action-
Action message is checked
Action time fence: 365
Postpone margin: 0
Advance margin: 0
Basis Date: Requirement date (futures messages are turned on)
Advance, Postpone, increase, decrease, and derived actions are all checked off
Futures-
Futures message is checked
Futures time fence: 100
Part set up:
Lead time is 28 days
If I would like for a part to be shown as an expedite only and/or a Planned order only how should the setting be documented? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
