I’ve been working hard to install Commerce Portal for a few weeks now, and have had some help from Microsoft Business Solutions support along the way. I’ve come across an issue that I can’t find answers to and was hoping someone here may have seen this before. It is similar to another issue I found when I searched but still had a different error. First off, everything is on one box - SQL, Navision DB server, NAS, Commerce Server, Commerce Portal. I’ve checked and double-checked the install pre-req’s and specific order. Synchronization works (this was the big issue for a while but have since resolved it). When I go to http :// servername/commerceportal, I can see the top frame, the left frame, and the bottom frame, but not the main frame in the center. I can do anything else on the links on the right-hand side- I can register a new account, login, view my shopping cart, etc, but I cannot see the main page (I believe this is the catalog - catalog returns same error). The error I get in this main frame: The page cannot be displayed There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please try the following: Click the Refresh button, or try again later. Open the cakportal01 home page, and then look for links to the information you want. All I got from MBS Support on this particular issue was “CS may not be communicating with SQL correctly”. I am able to browse cubes (I believe - not too familiar with Analysis Services).
