Codeunit 8700 does not exist

Hi All,

I am receiving this weird error each time I exit NAV. “Codeunit 8700 does not exist”

Iam running W1 5.0 SP1 and sql2005

I found a Knowledge base article, Article ID : 948510 and it refers to a mobile user, and problem occurs if user names are case-sensitive etc. in Mobile Document Processor report (8700), However I’m not using these features or functionality. and I dont have a codeunit or report 8700.

Has any one had something like this?

Thanks in advance.

Greg

Hi.

Yes I did get a similar error but not for this report. My installation was missing a different object but I can’t remember which one it was. What I did was to get the object from a colleagues database and import it into my database and by magic, no more error.

Anyway, I have a W1 5.0 SP1 database which this object does exist in, so if you would like to try, let me know.

Hey Connull, thanks for your reply.

I found a Microsoft knowledgebase article where this issue is detailed in KB 951406, It is to do with The licensing on the new version on NAV5 SP1

I’m still busy with Microsoft, they sent me an update but it didn’t work. - I’ll update this thread when I have it sorted.------------------------------------------------------------------------This problem occurs because the license that you use is not updated for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 Service Pack 1 or was updated to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 Service Pack 1 before May 6, 2008. The license for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 Service Pack 1 includes permissions for the Mobile Document Dispatcher codeunit (8700), the Mobile Sales Management codeunit (8726), and the Mobile Sales Setup table (8725). RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, update the license to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 Service Pack 1. To obtain the license, submit a service request from PartnerSource. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Log on to the Microsoft PartnerSource Web site. 2. Point to Ordering , and then click New Request . 3. In the Please select a topic to submit a request list, click Inquiry . Please follow the resolution and request an updated license to resolve this issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks

Greg
