Chart of Accounts form-"Validate user"

Hi,

I have a question about the above matter.

In the Chart of Account form, Set up tab, We have the VALIDATE USER field.

The help about this topic reads like:

  • – Microsoft Dynamics AX does not verify that the field in the general journal has been completed for posting.

  • – Microsoft Dynamics AX verifies that the field has been completed for posting. The value is not checked.

  • – Microsoft Dynamics AX verifies that the field has been completed for posting, and that the value corresponds with the value specified in the ledger account.

  • – Microsoft Dynamics AX verifies that the field has been completed with one of the user values defined on the button.

My Question : " AX verifies that the field has been completed for posting, and that the value corresponds with the value specified in the ledger account."

This means if we select “Table” in the VALIDATE USER FIELD, and one particular user in the user ID field only this single user will be able to post journal entries.

Where as LIST means we can specify more than one user by clicking on the VALIDATION LIST button.

Am I right?

Will appreciate if some one can explain in detail the difference between TABEL and LIST

If you specify table it is the user listed above your selection.

If you specify list you can then sleect the button called “Validation List” select the user option and define the list of users
