Changing the Sales Invoice report header in runtime

Hi guys,

Is there a way that sales inoice report header can be changed (such as labels and positions of controls) in the runtime but after the recors are fetched (because control printouts depend on the record values)? I know that with the AutoDesignSpec design type you can make such alterations in runtime, but is there a way to that with Genrated design?

Best regards,

Mishko

Hey,

just to let you know that I have figured it out. You can’t change labels on the controls in runtime but you can make double controls and make it visible or not if the certain conditions are met.

Hi Mishko,

I am currently trying to figure out how to make controls visible/invisible at runtime based on certain conditions. Would you please explain how you were able to accomplish this? I am using Dynamics NAV 5.0.

I sincerely appreciate your time.

Darrin

Hy Darrin,

Would be very useful to know hot to do it → till now i’ve seen solutions with only many variations of sections which are then printed out or not. Before i was programing in AX - and since you have there all the freedom to manipulate with controls at the runtime…

Thanks for your time,

Hy Mishko,

Can you tell me where and how you define the AutoDesignSpec and Generated design? The expressions are known to me from Dynamics AX - but in NAV?

Hi guys,

there seems to be a misunderstanding here. This is the AX/Axapta forum and I was talking about reports in AX. I am sorry but I can’t help you with your NAV problems.

Best regards,

Mishko
