change item model group of the item..

Hi, can any one explain is it possible to change the item model group of item?? what are consequences of that

It depends on what do you want to change inside the ítem model group, if it is quarantine parameters there is no more implication that quarantine for the ítems of that ítem model group will no longer be automatically triggered any more. Physical updates does not have a big impact also, just those requisits are not going to be mandatory any more. The inventory model group may have the biggest impact and if the ítems already has transactions posted you may not be able to change it.

if by mistake i did not chek the stocked product tab and i post the entries of the item then what should i do now ??

For non stocked products system will not keep the transactions and on hand as well.

The conversion from non stocked to stocked is not possible, only stocked to non stocked (only for service items) is possible.

Better create a new Item.
