Cant select item in the purchase requisition AX2012

Dear all:

Hope you are doing very well.

When I try to select item in the purchase requisition lines I cant view the items defined in the system in the “Item number” field, is there a missing setup???

Please advice

How are you trying to select an item? Using the add items it should then show you procurement categories which should hold the items.

Thanks for the reply , but what is the meaning of “Procurement category” with example if applicable , is this a new fuctinallity in AX2012??

No not really from memory, but you really need to read the procurement manual. It is a way of categorising products for easy search using purchase requisitions.
