Cannot create a new form.

Hi,

My user has “Super” Role and i can modify and delete all of the Tables/Forms. But I cannot create any one, it gives me the error “You do not have permission to create tableName. contact system manager if you want to change the permissions”.

I have a licence file that allows 100 Form/100 Tables to be created .

I’m using NAV5.0/SQL 2005.

Any idea ? (It seems to be pretty close to http://dynamicsuser.net/forums/p/12432/60553.aspx , but there is no solution in this post)

What Object Number are you trying to create it as? Do you know the number range of the objects you can create, what are the current tables numbered as?

What granule ID do you believe gives you the permission to create a new table?

Hi,

I tried 99999 & 99998 .

try 50001, customers are only permitted in this range onwards. Prior to this is Microsoft, somewhere later is the vertical third party add ons. Your numbers are not allowed.

I changed my post above to ask what granule ID you have to design tables.

AdamRoue,

It works fine with ID 50001.

I can create objects with ID 50000 to 50100 according to my licence file. I tought i was free to use 100 discontinuous object IDs between 50000 and 99999.

Many thanks,

Hi eclo]2e,

The objects that you can create/use are controlled by your license file.

The best way to find out what objects you can develop in is to request your config file from your partner.

There is a part which tells you what you have purchased, what has been assigned and a RIMX (Read, insert, modify, delete) permissions for those objects.

Tony

This post has changed [:D]

The response I received was 50001 did not work, but they had granules 8200 and 8300. I explained these were not the granules for report, dataport, form and table designer and told them to request the defined object range from the partner. Where did those two replies go? Can the original poster delete my reply as a child as they delete the original string?

Hi,

I deleted my post but there was no response !

Tony, many thanks too.

Maybe you deleted it as I was replying, no idea what would happen to my reply then! Thought I was going mad or dreaming it!!
