Can we count backdated Physical invention by using Phy. Inventoty Jnl in NAVISION

Hi

i want to calculated back dated physical inventory in in NAV.

Hi Yogesh,

Welcome to the Dynamics User Group!

You cannot do this in standard Nav. You can build a routine to calculate the inventory as a time and update the Physical Inventory Journal but you need to be careful of the unit cost that is used.

is there any other way to count backdated inventory.

Not without modifying it no, but if you generate the count today and it says 10 and you count 9 and enter it in a week this is backdated, it will remove 1, even through the system may only have 1 in because you sold 9 in between. You obviously could not have sold 10 as you only counted 9. Depends what your real requirement is really - tell us where standard does not work for you and why. Also you have verified the solution, meaning you want nothing else from this post - is this true?

backdated means, today i. e. on 11-Jan-2011 i want to know what was counted inventory in the system lets say as on 31 Dec 2010… and this is what i want to know by this post…

Any ways i got solution from one of my contact thanks…

Seeing a posted count transaction on 31/12/10 is not an issue if you counted and posted it in the system, this is not backdating, this is looking at historical transactions.
