Can a user acess Navision without being added in windows login

Hi NAV,

I am wondering some of users in our company can access into navision with out being added to windows login and users setup. We use Window authentication option and we normally add users to the groups in the active directory. And my question is what is the point of adding users to windows login if we can give permissions through the groups in the active directory.

Press shift and right click on Navision Icon,you get an option of Run as Different user.

In the ClientUserSettings.Config-file you can change key “ClientServicesCredentialType” from Windows to UserName.
