Calendar Working Time Templates for a night shift

Hi All,

I’m trying to set up AX to reflect my working time templates running two shifts, days and nights. Days is easy to define, 07:30am until 12:00 @100 % efficiciency, 12:00 - 12:30 @ 0% efficiency (Lunch), and then 12:30 - 16:00 @ 100%.

For nights the shift pattern is 21:15pm until 07:30am, with 30 minutes break between 01:00 and 01:30.

Within the working time templates screen AX will not permit a time running from 21:15 until 01:00, stating that it’s illegal, perhaps because it spans different days. I thought that the way to address this would be setting the working time from 21:15 until 00:00, 00:00 until 01:00 and so on. AX will not let you use 00:00, and will only work with 23:39, in essence loosing a minute a day. Has anyone else encountered this and could you offer any advice please?

If you do 21.15 to 23.59 I do not believe you lose a minute, it will tell you it is 2.75 hours. then 00.00 to 07.30 will show 7 hours with the half an hour break giving you capacity of 9.75 hours for the shift

You can define it like this:

21:15 - 24:00

12:00 am - 07:00 am
