BOM Costing Report

Dear Gurus, I am relatively new the Report Code for Dynamics NAV. We have a task to accomplish as We want the Product Costing of A Finished Product with BOM Explosion details with the following Logic * It should consider the following Points the Item details should be BOM exploded Items. * The BOM should be of Active Version. *The Child Routing should be of Active Version *The Item Details “Total Cost Time” should be the Routing Time of the Item considering the set up time & Run Times considering all the Operations . *We have Average Costing Method so we could not consider to have Roll Over Costs. The Report may look like this Parent Item AAA Item Description UOM “Unit Cost” “Total Cost Time” “Operation Cost” “Total Cost” AA1 Child 1 No. 12.00 1.2 20 36 AA2 Child 2 No. 12.00 0 0 12 Please note that the Item AA2 the Child item of AAA do not have Routing. I have designed the Sections for the report and could get the BOM details and the costing for the BOM but I am Unable to get the Total Cost Time & Operation Cost from Routing for the Child Items.What Code should I write to get the Sum total of Routing cost Time & Routing Cost for the Child Items. How to accomplish this. Please guide. Nitin

Please note that the Item AA2 the Child item of AAA do not have Routing. I have designed the Sections for the report and could get the BOM details and the costing for the BOM but I am Unable to get the Total Cost Time & Operation Cost from Routing for the Child Items.What Code should I write to get the Sum total of Routing cost Time & Routing Cost for the Child Items.

How to accomplish this.

Please guide.

Hi Nitan,

Create a record variable for the Routing Line table and loop through to sum up the value e.g.

Routeline.SETRANGE(“Routing No.”, “RouteNo.” );
IF Routeline.FIND(’-’) THEN
REPEAT
TotalRoutingSetupCost += Routeline.“Unit Cost per” * Routeline.“Setup Time”;
TotalRoutingRunCost += Routeline.“Unit Cost per” * Routeline.“Run Time”;
UNTIL Routeline.NEXT = 0;

Is this how to manually arrive at the routining cost?
