Hi All,

We need to generate Bar code and print the same. In Basic Module i setup the barcode setup and link the barcode to item master and setup the dimension also.

From where can i view the barcode image or print the barcode serial no etc. When i try to print from the inventory management reports lables> serial no - it generate the report but it can view the reports

I would also like to know if its possible to enter an order (sales/ purchase with a barcode scanner, so instead of typing the item numbers, i would like to scan the barcode on the item with a usb barcode scanner attached to my computer.

Hi Abdel,

I hope you got your solution by now. I was able to generate barcode and even scan them onto the saleline or purchline using code. But i dont undersatand why Basic >> Setup >> Barcode Setup and also the Inventory Management >> Item details >> Bar codes is being used???

GuysPlease help am i missing something???

Hi Kaushik,

We can attach a barcode with each item from Inventory Mangement>> Item detailes>>Setup>>Barcode instead of using itemcode itself as barcode.

Eg:

Item code barode

101 AB12

102 XYZ1

And we are using Basic>>Setop>>Barode Setup to setup barocde options like barcode font, size, lenght etc

We are mapping this option to Inventory Mangement>> Item detailes>>Setup>>Barcode

Thanks for a quick reply. I understood the concept. So we can have items tagged by other numbers other than itemid also, fine.

Can you please help me by providing the code to generate the barcode and scanning the barcode and also I have doubt that how are scanning the barcode on any paper.

i want to receive and issue inventory using barcode scanner from ax in ax 2012 r2, can you tell me how to do it. i guess i did it once and it worked but currently when i am scanning the barcode, it is reading the barcode but its not briging the pitem associated with the barcode and instead shows an infolog that states that there is no such item “#########” it is considering that barcode to be the item code. can you help me in this please?

Suddenly this person and Slavica creates a lot of replies and promoting a certain add-on related to bar-codes. Are they really a happy customer or are they working for the company whi sells this product? Can an administrator have a look?
