Axapta/Citrix - Printer problem

Hi, I am not sure whether this is entirely Axapta related but here I go - Few of our users connect using Citrix to Axapta. Everything was working fine until we changed network domain for the users. Since then the users are not able to print from Axapta. This is the error message that they get - ********************************************* Error Message (10:34:49) CreateIC(winspool,Client\WS-014#\\lou-svr-001\HP LaserJet 2100 TN Series,…): lastError:122(0x7a) The data area passed to a system call is too small. Error Message (10:34:49) CreateIC(winspool,Client\WS-014#\\lou-svr-001\HP LaserJet 2100 TN Series,…): lastError:122(0x7a) The data area passed to a system call is too small. Error Message (10:34:49) startDoc: rc:SP_ERROR lastError:8(0x8) Not enough storage is available to process this command. Error Message (10:34:49) Aborting Delivery note - Report: ********************************************* Initally we thought the problem could be with network or Citrix setup. But if the users try to print from other Citrix application, the print goes fine!!! Has anyone come across this before? Can some one help me please. Thanks, Harish Mohanbabu

Alternatively we also get this error - ******************************************* Error Message (16:41:45) startDoc: rc:SP_ERROR lastError:6(0x6) The handle is invalid. Error Message (16:41:45) abortDoc: rc:SP_ERROR lastError:6(0x6) The handle is invalid. ******************************************* Harish Mohanbabu

Hi Harish, I don’t know if our problems where completely the same, but we are going to change the domain within some months to. At this moment the users are in a different domain and there is a ‘trust’ between the user-domain and the Axapta domain. In the near future the user-domain will be migrated to the same domain as Axapta is running… I’m not an expert on this area, but I’m told that an administrator had to take ownership for the user-setting map to correct autorizations after creating accounts for the new domain. After that Windows resetted the NTFS security of all maps underneath and cleared the users. After this printing in Axapta was not possible anymore with the current users… I’ll hope this information will hep you… Regards, Johan

Hi Johan, Thanks for your response. I am not an expert myself on Citrix configuration. I have already forwarded your response to our network guys. Hopefully they would be able to come up with a solution soon … Regards, Harish Mohanbabu

Hi, A quick update - Looks like we have found the source of this problem. It looks like the printer drivers were not installed properly in the users PC. After installation of the same, now they are able to print from Axapta [:)] Regards, Harish Mohanbabu
