Hi, Not sure how updated this article is. But according to MS, Axapta 4.0 beta would be released on Oct 2005. And the final version would be released in the first half of 2006 calender year. More info including the new functionalities can be obtained from - http://www.microsoft.com/BusinessSolutions/Axapta/axapta_40_new_release_date.aspx Harish Mohanbabu
Hi, Thank you for posting this information. How can I find out if Axapta version 4.0 will be on the .net framework? And if version 4.0 is not going to be in on the .net framework, how can I find out when Axapta will be on .net? Thanks, Mike Matta
Mike, the next release of Axapta will NOT be on the .NET platform. As to when exactly it will be on the .NET platform is a secret - there is a plan for doing this, but it is not official yet. I expect we will see all four MBS solutions (Solomon, Great Plains, Navision and Axapta) on the .NET platform as part of their Project Green initiative. Regards, H. Jaeger Tectura (UK) Ltd.
Hi, According to MS, Project Green would be delivered in 2 stages. First stage would happen sometime between 2005 and 2007. Second stage would be released in 2008. There are quite a lot of interesting features going to be released in both stages including - reporting environment based on SQL Server Reporting Servies, - Intranet & Extranet environment based on SharePoint Portal Server - and of course .NET You can read more about this from here - http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2005/mar05/03-07Convergence05UmbrellaPR.mspx Regards, Harish Mohanbabu
Hi, The SQL Server Reporting Services report Pack for Axapta 3.0 is coming out very soon. There will be about six sample reports and a couple Web Parts also to deliver reports on SharePoint and Enterprise Portal. The Reporting Services licence is bundled with MSSQL (actually free ). SSRS can be downloaded from MS sites - only developer tool like Visual Basic for .NET is needed. It is already very easy to integrate with Axapta using Axapta Business Views, which translates the Base Enum constans to lanquage texts. br,
Hi there, I’m working for a Microsoft partner consultant company and I have to work on the new Module Service in Axapta 4.0. Do you have any documentation or manual regarding this module? Something that describes processes, how it works and so on. Thank you very much, regards Maurizio
Hi Maurizio, I guess you have to wait for some more time for the actual release and documentation. Regards,
