Dear users, We have recently installed Axapta 3.0 on a Windows server 2003 running sql server 2000. The system installs and runs fine as windows user adminsitrator (although it did require manual set up of a DSN). However when the windows user is changed to another user (even one that is member of admin group) both axconfig and ax32 fail to run. Axconfig displays error message: “The Navision Axapta Registry could not be opened for writing, it will be opened for reading only. Please check that you have proper access rights to the registry.” The client program simply falshes the splash screen then closes. Please help as I have tried everything i can think of to do with user permissions. TIA, Steve.
hi We also were trying to install MS SQL Server 2000(including SP2) on Windows 2003, but at the beginning there was a warning, that Windows 2003 Server doesn’t work properly with SQL Server 2000 SP2. Try to install the newest SQLServer Service Pack, maybe it will help you. If not, choose Win 2000 Server Slawek
Pl speak with your network admin, it seems to be an error of trust relationship on your win server. Once that is sorted that you may be needing DSN also. Regards, Anuj
