AX2012 - Will master planning consider the stock under inventory blocking status?

Hi,

  1. Can somebody advise will the master planning consider the stock under inventory blocking status?

  2. Is the inventory blocking functions can only block on hand inventory?

Can you confirm what you mean by inventory blocking? The WMSII Blocking functionality, or the site specific stop functionality etc.

Secondly my belief is your answer is no, but simply put block an item of stock, load a sales order for it and run planning, then you will see.

Hi,

In fact, I am expecting the master planning to plan within the site level. Within the sites, there are several warehouses, let say A, B & C. Warehouse A & B are the normal warehouses which are used for shipments, while warehouse C is used for temporary storage before reject to supplier.

In my planning perspective, I should not include the stock on hand in warehouse C as supply. As such, what is your recommendations?

My means of inventory blocking is: - Path: Inventory Management Module>Periodic>Inventory blocking

On Warehouse C go to the Master Planning tab and tick the manual box, it removes it from planning.
