When I book an item journal for a project which is enabled with Budgetary control, I receive the following warning, and budget is not reduced
“The transaction did not affect the budget for the project because the original transaction was not subject to budgetary control”
Could anyone help me in understanding how to get the budget hit by transactions

Hello Vinodh,
First can you make sure that the Category you have selected in the item journal has been listed out in the project budget that was defined for your project. If no, then obviously it will not affect the budget commitments for budgetary control.
