How many Data Bases are there in Ax 2012 and Ax 2012R2…??
There could be several databases for AX 2012 and AX 2012 R2. From AX 2012 R2 and forward, AX uses a database that contains transnational data, and the other contains the model store. Before R2, there was only 1 database having both types of data in it.
As Kwen mentioned, starting with R2, there are two databases. Same is true with R3 as well.
Additionally there would be a 3rd database called baseline if it is an upgrade. More info here technet.microsoft.com/…/ee355075.aspx
