AX 4.0 App version and Kernel version mismatch

Hi,

We have a live environment in which the

Kernel version: 4.0.2501.116

Application version:4.0.2501.116.

Localization Version India

I tried installing one more instance. (AX 4.0 sp1 set up and SP2.)

But the

Kernel version is 4.0.2501.116

Application Version :4.0.2212.0

Localization Version India

Due to this, in some forms like salesorder am getting error like field does not exists.

eg: Error:
Error executing code: FormRun (data source) has no valid runable code in method ‘setVisible_IN’.

Stack trace

(C)\Forms\SalesTable\Methods\setVisible_IN
(C)\Forms\SalesTable\Methods\init
(C)\Classes\SysSetupFormRun\init - line 3

Please provide me a solution and and let me know what am missing.

Hi,

Obviously there is a mismatch in the application version. If you are trying to replicate live environment, then you should investigate the mismatch and update the new environment accordingly.

Also you should export the configuration from Live environment and import into the new environment.

Normally the mismatch for Application and Kernal version comes when installation of AX need to follow the

First AX 4.0 followed by AX 4.0 SP1 and followed by AX 4.0 SP2

If you try to isntall AS AX 4.0 followed by AX 4.0 SP2 fo not installing the AX 4.0 SP1 it may leads mismatch of versions…

Hi,

In my experience I find the service packs / hot fixes etc are cumulative. Therefore in this instance, user should be able to install AX 4.0 and then AX 4.0 SP2.
