AX 2012 Retail POS Configuration

Hi All,

I installed AX 2012 for Retail successfully. I can see the complete Retail module inside AX 2012.

I created Retail database using Retail Database Utility. I can see all the relevent table in SQL Express. I checked the log file which showed no error.

Now, when I am trying to open Retail POS I am getting the error related to the Configuration file. The Error message is hereunder :

Please advise in case i am missing any steps or I need to perform any additional step.

Hi,

I checked with event viewer and I got the following error.

“The description for Event ID 110 from source Dynamics .NET Business Connector 6.0 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.”

I installed .NET Business connector while installing AX 2012.

Please advice.

Hi Arindam

Try System Administration / Setup / System Service Account check that your credentials have permission on the DB Server

Then you can either edit your config file for the retail users or change it so everyone can access

Option 1

  1. Check on local computer if you have a security group called POSUser

1.1 if so

1.1.1 Add you user to that group

1.1.2 Add that group to DB logins

1.2 If not

1.2.1 Create that user again and try to deploy DB

1.3 You should be able to log on now

Option 2

  1. Go to the folder for the POS DB utility in my case

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Retail Database Utility

  1. Edit file RetailDatabaseUtility.exe.config

Locate line 32 should look like this

  1. Save file
  2. On Retail POS Config, configure everthing but offline database
  3. Deploy it should be able to log now

Hi Liria,

There seems that data synching with POS is not completed correctly.

So you can try sending all N-Jobs to your POS.
Retail–>Periodic–>Data Distribution–>Distribution Schedule
