Hello all,
has anyone experience with AX 2012 R2 or R3 and SQL Server 2014?
According to technet.microsoft.com/…/dn507098.aspx, AX 2012 R3 supports 2014 - does that mean AX 2012 R2 doesn’t?
I think the new In-Memory Technology must be a Performance boost to any System working with SQL Server, or?
Greetings,
Frank
Don’t ask random people - look into official System Requirements. They say unequivocally: “SQL Server 2014 is supported only with AX 2012 R3”.
Hello Martin,
you are right, but the focus was on “experience”, especially the In-Memory Technology…
Frank
My experience is: AX 2012 R3 simply works with SQL Server 2014.
Regarding in-memory optimization, I’m not aware of any memory-optimized tables created by AX DB synchronization. If you want to be sure, look for tables with MEMORY_OPTIMIZED = ON.
Hello Martin,
thanks for sharing. If we decide to buy SQL 2014 i will give it a try.
