AX 2012 Contacts Import via Excel Add In

Hi

I have a large list of contacts to import and link to various prospects. I am struggling however with the table structure for adding contacts. Can anyone tell me the order of the tables which need uploaded? (So far I have tried dirpartytable, dirperson, dirpersonname and contactperson in various orders but no success)

The contacts themselves are very straightforward with a tel no and email only.

No idea how to set up or use the DIEF so stuck with excel for now.

Any advice?

I don’t think that you can easily do it by importing individual tables, because there are many RecId references and table inheritance.

Using Contact person and Contact address entities included in Data import/export framework is surely much easier. Getting familiar with the framework will pay off very quickly.
