[AX 2009] How do i enable a user to add fields to a form?

Hi everyone,

I would like to give rights to one particular user in order to make him add fields to a single form (or every form if there’s no way to be this specific).

Where is this setting in Ax 2009?

If you are talking about the personalize, Yes that can be handled through security.

From the user groups → permissions → development → Add fields

But i don’t think that you can apply it for a single form

Hi,

To add ‘Add fields’ button to SysSetupForm (right-click any form and go to ‘Setup’) give View access to the Security Key: Development\Add fields. You will find security keys in Administration/Setup/Security/User group permissions.

If you want to give these rights to one particular user you need to create new user group, give View access to the Security Key: Development\Add fields to this group and assign this user to this new group.
