Or here if you are with 2012, regards
We run AX 2009. Not sure where to start with the link you gave me.
Go to Administration\Setup\Batch groups and create a new group, you can call it MRP, MRP batch group as description.
Then go to Master Planning\Periodic\Master scheduling, Batch tab (the one at the end). Select Batch processing, Batch group select MRP. Click on Recurrence button, there you can select when to program MPR to automatically run, and in Alerts button, what kind of alters do you want to receive related to this process.

Héctor
One important thing, when you create the Batch group, in the Batch servers tab, select the server that this batch job is going to run.
In the Alerts button, if you establish the alert, the pop up message, etc, you will see the alert with the job details about when it started running, finishing hour, etc
Thanks Hector. We are on the right track. After setting it up as you explained above, once we hit the OK button MRP would normally start running. Instead we get a message stating “The master scheduling job is added to the batch que” but when the time we specific comes, MRP doesn’t run. Any advice?
Go to batch jobs form, check what is the status of batch job. It might be in “waiting” stage, sometimes when there are other batch jobs in the queue.
If you have more batch jobs in “Waiting” and “Executing” stage, you need to wait for the turn of your batch job to run.
We don’t have any other batch jobs in “waiting” or “executing” stage. The batch job I have created to run MRP is the only one and it is in the waiting stage. Should it run now?
We went in to our Sandbox test environment and deleted out all batch jobs. We followed the steps above and created a new batch job. When the specified time for it to start comes, nothing happens. I then go into batch jobs and see the batch job status is still “waiting”. What are we doing wrong?
