I would like to introduce Lot Tracking to my RM items. Does the system allow Auto Generation of Lot No, during Goods Receiving and then those Lot Numbers to be issue on First Received First Issued Basis. Also advise can I change exisiting Non-lot Items to Lot Items?
- I assume you know that you must establish an Item Tracking code on the item. You can assign a number series to generate the lot numbers on that code, but it is not automatic during receiving. When and in which screen you complete that task depends on the warehousing level you have enabled for the location. Of course, ISV solutions exist to make this possible.
- FEFO is supported but not FIFO from a logistics perspective.
- If there are any item ledger entries, you cannot change the item to include item tracking.
