Arcserve backup problems

Hello, We have a oracle database (version 8.1.7) It’s build on navision software. We can not make a good backup. It looks like a security problem between arcserve 2000 and the oracle database. When i look in the arcserve 2000 logfile i see an E8601 messsage error. It keeps complaining about a bad user error. I have contacted oracle specialists and our arcserve reseller. Till know they do not know a solution. Any suggestions, Frank

What errorcode do you get from Arcserve2000? This can be found in the logfile aswell. The line should look something like this: E8601: Failed to connect to Agent. (AGENT=x, ec=y. Please provide the x and y.
