Hi,
I am using AX 2009 (AM) + SQL 2008 R2 (evaluation). As my SQL Server will expire soon, I am trying to connect a different Server (which has SQL 2008 R2 Standard).
I have successfully restored the DB from SQL 2008 R2 (evaluation) to SQL 2008 R2 Standard. Now, AOS can not connect to the new SQL server though I have created a separate configuration from AX server configuration utility. While AOS is trying to connect the New DB Server its getting the following error.
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)
