I am facing one strange problem during posting of a General Journal.
I am getting the error message " Amoust must be positive in General Journal line…etc"
Why this error message is coming ?
On the chart of account card you have a setting for debot/credit - is yours set one way for the journal you are posting (either account it will hit)
Have you set any general journal posting types on the journal line?
Is this a development as you are in the developers forum, or just standard journal entry?

I have selected document type not general Journal posting type.
When I remove the document type I selected, Its not showing that error message , why ?
Well if you select a document type the system “knows” whether it is a debit or credit. For example if you select invoice and enter a sign and it tells you to enter it the other way, you should enter it as a credit memo - it is designed to help you, but you have to know the type and the sign.
