Alternative positions in Sales Quote?

Hello,

Is there any way to define alternative positions in a Sales Quote in NAV? E.g. I need to have Item A with a quantity of 20 and as an alternative the same item with a quantity of 50. When converted to an order, only quantity should be selectable, either 20 or 30.

Is that possible with NAV? I have to compare different ERP systems for a project at uni, and it’s easy to do with SAP, but I haven’t found this functionality in NAV yet.

Any ideas?

Hi Phil and welcome to forum,

How do you expect to join this in one SQ? If these are two lines in one SQ, the Total amount will include BOTH lines, which is wrong, as customer will select only one option.
IMHO these are TWO separate SQs, you send both of them to customer, and when he has chosen, you convert that one to SO, and simply delete the other one which was not accepted.
