What is the difference between business to business and application to application integration ? Can anyone please explain with an example ?

This is not anything specific to tje Application Integration Framework in Dynamics AX; you should for generic resources (e.g. search for B2B A2A in your favorite search engine).
In short, A2A isn’t B2B, therefore it’s inside a single business entity. For example, if you integrate AX with your legacy planning software, it’s A2A. If you integrate it with systems of your vendors, it’s business-to-business.
