It’s been awhile since I’ve used ADCS so here goes…
1.) Make sure the ADCS service is running.
2.) Try connecting via Hyper Terminal on the same machine that is running ADCS and see if that works. If this works, there could be something on the network blocking access to port 6666.
I remember having this problem when I installed it initially but it was so long ago I don’t remember what I ended up doing to resolve it. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
You can choose a port number that suits - check with the network administrator. On the firewall, it will depend on the software used - usually specified in the advanced settings
After raising an incident on Miscrosoft we came to know that ADCS will not work on 64 bit operating system.
Solution:If we have another 32 bit O.S 2003 server then we can install ADCS on that with ADCS hotfix and in NAS give the IP of 64 bit server on which Navision database is running.
For the above process we need to install ADCS hotfix which we can get by raising an incident on Microsoft partner source.
